Expressions from the Heart

Four days ago we hit another milestone in our marriage--the eight month mark. Attempting to commemorate this special occasion during a rather dull sacrament meeting, we decided to rekindle the flame between us through art. For our topic we chose to illustrate how each other shows his or her love. We're definitely not the next Monet or Rembrandt, but our results turned out almost museum worthy.

Sean:

My inspiration for this piece came from long nights of hearing Sean solving calculus problems in his sleep, correcting the grammar on church handouts (and I literally mean using a pen and marking up the paper), and checking out Suze Orman books from the library and reading them for fun in his free time.

Jaimie:

This picture of Jaimie didn't really take much inspiration at all. Her love is often written clearly on her face. Whether it's reminding me that the real words to "Did you Think to Pray" don't include the lines, "Ere, you left your room this morning, did you think you'd stray," or getting after me for attempting to scare her; this face of love is one I'm all too familiar with.

As you can see, we didn't just rekindle the flame between us--we ignited a forest fire of passion. It's no doubt we have a bright future ahead of us.
